Mascara Recipe
This mascara thickens and lengthens the lashes, whilst the hyaluronic acid and seaweed extract strengthens and Nourishes.
Part one
• 1/8th Ceteareth 20
• 1/8th Stearic acid
• 3g of wax/oil base No 4 (Eyebrow and mascara)
Part two
• 15g Seaweed Extract
• 1 drop Glycerin
• 1 drop Pro-vitamin B5
* 2 drops Hyaluronic acid
Part three
• 1 to 2 tsp. Black oxide.
• ¼ tsp. Cosmetic grade rice powder or colloidal oat powder
Optional 1/4 tsp Silica
Optional: Can add 1/8th tsp. mica such as peacock blue, patagonian purple or majestic green for an eye-catching look.
• For an aromatherapy mascara, you can add 1 to 2 drops of lavender essential oil.
• Note: Natural preservative is in already in the seaweed extract.
Melt part one in one heat resistant glass beaker in a microwave or bain-marie
Warm (not boil) part two in another small glass beaker sitting in a saucepan of boiling water.
When part one is fully melted, (if heated in the microwave), place the beaker into the hot water Add the rice powder and black oxide stirring constantly. Slowly add part two until completely absorbed.
Note: The mascara should be still liquid at this point and can be poured directly into the mascara tube or syringed in.

- For Waterproofing, add between 1g to 3g of Isododecane - suggest 1/2 tsp.
